  Favorite Motorcycle Links
Below are links to some of my favorite motorcycling sites. If you know of any good touring sites that meet the criteria of good stories and pictures, email them on to me here. Many of us enjoy reading about other riders' journeys for ideas and inspiration.

Cycle Therapy
Nick has an interesting site. If you want to know "Why I Ride" and other interesting subjects, like Riding in Groups, Hand Signals, etc... you'll like this site.

Daniel Cohen's Motorcycling Adventures
Dan Cohen rides BMW's and rides them a long way. He has covered all 48 states in 100 days and then did another trip to Alaska from New York. In addition, he has Iron Butt aspirations and has a link to Ron Ayers page and the National Park service for those who would like to collect stamps on their rides. Interesting site with lots of information.

Diner City
Looking for an interesting place to eat while out there exploring the open road. This site shows you some of the last Diners in the US, by state. Fun site.

Everything about Motorcycle Touring
A new site by Mark and Bobby Stevens. They are trying to capture the adventure and fun of motorcycle touring and have a nice start. Their site is growing and I think it has potential as well. They also have some good links for motorcycle tourists.

GL1800 Owners Group
If you have questions about the GL 1800, you need to go to this site. They have some small stories under "Trip Reports." Sections on Message Boards, Group Events, Pictures, Classifieds, etc.

Horizons Unlimited
This site has more travel stories than you can shake a stick at. From all over the world. If you've ever wondered what it was like to ride almost anywhere, I'm sure you'll find someone who has gone there on a motorcycle. This is the place they post their stories.

Muthuh's Rides
Touring stories with an edge. Muthuh rides a Harley Ultra Glide out of NC, so his stories often include the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Smokey Mountains, West Virginia, Daytona, the southeast in general, with Sturgis thrown in for good measure. Lots of pictures, some music, touring tips, etc. One of my favorite sites.

Pinkman's Motorcycle Touring WebPage
Another BMW rider with lots of good stories and pictures about some long rides. Greg rides a GS 1100, which allows him to go damn near anywhere.

Wil Higdon's Home Page
Will Higdon's site, with journal about his trip from NC to WA and back in 2000. Both he and he friend, Gordon Booth, rode GL1500's. Will has taken the time to supply a link for most of the scenic places he visited, as well as thumbnail pictures that link to the larger version of the picture.

Will's Domain
Another Will, but this one rides a Honda PC 800. He and fellow PC rider Bob, ride the Four Corners ride, then Will does Alaska and the Artic Circle, a Saddle Sore 1000, etc. He has an interesting writing style and, of course, has pictures. I like the interplay between Will and Bob on their 4 Corners ride.

Uni-Go Motorcycle Trailers
Here's a link for the single-wheel Uni-Go bike trailer. These things are just the ticket for someone who needs more luggage space but doesn't want to pull a"big" trailer behind their motor. Hitches available for most popular touring and many sport bikes. You can carry an additional 110 lbs. and it looks good to. Check it out.

getmeadeal.com
This is my son's site. He helps you find all the discount codes, promotions, rebates and such for the computer and electronics goodies you want to buy so you can save some money. This site hasn't got anything at all to do with motorcycles, but he's my son, it's my web page, and you're bound to save a buck using his services, so his site makes my favorites list.
