These were days to visit family. No riding was involved.
The following photos are of my Sister's children who are,
of course, my nephews and nieces, and great nephews and nieces.
My sister has two sons living in South Carolina, the youngest
is Kit, and his wife is Hope and their two sons are Miles
and Coley. That's their pond; there home, their woods, their
motorcycle, and even their rain (photos 1,2,3,4,5, 6).
We had a wonderful visit with his family.
Her oldest son's name is Britt and he lives really close
to his younger brother, which is a nice thing. I wish my sons
were so lucky. He also has a wonderful family. His wife is
Kandy, his daughter is Jennifer, and his son is Harrison,
named after his great grandfather. We all had dinner at Britt's
home and later all the boys went fishing in the pond. Unfortunately,
all that was caught was a tree by Miles. We were able to sit
around and talk a bit and I heard about how Kit killed a cottonmouth
snake that had bit the dog but the dog didn't die. I saw how
Britt sealed hay in plastic so it keeps its nutrients for
winter-feeding of his cattle. We ate spaghetti, I looked at
my great-nephew's coin collection, and we had a really wonderful
time. Sometimes the simple pleasures really are the best
(photos 7,8,9,10,11).
The next day we visited with more friends and later we went
out for dinner (photo 12). No motorcycling riding involved
for the last two days but riding to visit those you care about
makes the riding that much more enjoyable. Tomorrow we head
for Florida to see my brother.
