  Other Rider's Stories
Below, you will find a couple of stories or "reprinted' articles from other riders, friends, or motorcycle related publications, that I think you may find of interest. From time-to-time, I will add other rider's stories or articles to this page, if I think they are in keeping with the spirit and flavor of what I'm trying to do here. I have a limited amount of "bandwidth," so I can't post everything people send me, but I also enjoy reading stories from my motorcycle riding brothers and I'm willing to post their stories, where appropriate. If you have something you think meets that criteria, send it on to me here. I hope you find the stories below as interesting as I did.

Wife's First Ride by Bob Reindeau
Bob takes his wife for her first ride on the Wing. Unfortunately it is hot, hot, hot in Florida and Bob would rather be home drinking a cold beer than introducing the "Misses" to the thrill of motorcycling. Humorous story.

Saddle Sore 2000 & 50cc Quest by Tom Melchild
Tom is trying to knock off several Iron Butt challenges at one time. He doesn't set the record but he still accomplishes everything else that he set out to do. There are no pictures with this story. These guys go so fast they don't have time for pictures.

Coast to Coast in 2000 by Paul Meredith
Paul rides from Kittery, ME to San Francisco, CA in less than 50 hours. Hey! he was in a hurry.

The Long Way Home by Paul Meredith
Paul sends us another report on one of his Iron Butt rides.  This time he tackles 49 states in 10 days, starting from Alaska on his BMW K1200LT.  My butt gets tired just thinking about doing this.  You’ll enjoy reading how those who enjoy riding motorcycles so much they don’t want to stop, do it, and the obstacles they sometimes have to overcome to complete a ride.

Long Weekend by Paul Meredith
Paul takes us on a quick trip to North Dakota (9 states in 5 days).
